| Comment | I don’t condone what they’re doing but a little perspective or understanding of their situation wouldn’t go amiss. You have no idea what they’re going through. There are different things which drive people steal (poverty, addiction etc). I know and have worked with people with such issues. They are human beings. They have made mistakes yes and, no, they should not resort to stealing but sometimes these people feel they have no other choice. They should be punished accordingly if they do so however. I do understand that it’s horrible for people to be the victim of such crimes.
I would suggest you direct your considerable ire at those responsible for the high death toll in the U.K. rather than some youngster who is causing trouble in a scheme.
