But to answer the question, Queens Park was going through some rigorous gentrification prior to the shutdown. You’d get a lovely flat on that. Plenty of good pubs, ranging from pretentious to salt of the earth. The Queen’s Park cafe is my favourite pub and it’s a Celtic pub.

Some nice cafes but nothing like you’ll be used to in the west end. The main question really is will all these places reopen?

I’d recommend Queen’s Park over shawlands as it seems younger and had more bars. Shawlands is where you see the yummy mummys doing lunch, so more cafes etc. Also less car traffic passing through Queen’s Park than Shawlands, although you will have the Bollywood fast and furious on Victoria road due to the sweet shops at nights.

I’d recommend the south as long as you’re not one of thee people make Glasgow people.
