| Comment | In my close there are six flats, and in the basement there are six cupboards. We assumed when we moved in that one of those cupboards must be "ours" (though nothing on the deeds about it), but we didn't have a clue how to claim it. I put up a notice in the notice asking about it, and it turned out that the six cupboards had been divvied up among three of the flats - with one owner using three of the cupboards. However, he was nice about it and cleaned one out and gave it to us. As far as I can tell, a lot of the time there's no rules about these - it's just down to neighbours to work it out. |
