But you mean area? Alright. Near UofG, you have the West End:Anderston, Partick, Hillhead, Finnieston, Hyndland etc..all quite nice. The area is west of the M8/Charing Cross the motorway that splits Glasgow.
Near UofS you are in the city centre, merchant city or the east end: Dennistoun, Parkhead (I'd avoid because of the football fans), Bridgeton etc...The East end is traditionally a more improvished area but that has rapidly changed.
The Southside is also a option if you are willing to commute. Shawlands is a good shout.
