| Comment | That parallels my experience. They've never once knocked on the door - either bangs on the wall (on some occasions when I've been asleep in bed and the kids not here! How the hell was I making noise then?), shouts of abuse or - as has just started happening recently - the police at the door (on a made up complaint not related to noise) and the abusive note.
I've been here 15 months and I've never once seen the guy who lives there face to face. I've seen the kids twice, I think (on their way to school), and the lady 2-3 times. She just brushes past me on the stairs without making eye contact.
I've been told, again by police and letting agent, not to respond at all at this point unless I choose to involve a registered third party mediator so that all communication is logged. I'm considering this route prior to the legal one, but I'll wait to see if he "complains" at me again. As far as I'm concerned with wasting police time and the foul letter he sent, he's making a rod for his own back. |
