___Queen Street Line____

Coatbridge Sunnyside and Airdrie are the two stops that provides a regular Express service into Queen Street. Takes about 10-15mins from Sunnyside and slightly longer from Airdrie.

Parking at Sunnyside is okay, but you'll get down early if you want a space because they'll be taken up by the morning commuters.

Oh and on the west bound platform at Sunnyside there is a little takeaway shop that does decent breakfast rolls and coffee if you fancy a quick bit of breakfast for the train in. Avoid the van in the car park at all costs.

Parking at Airdrie is shite. The only decent car park is at the Aldi/Bowling Alley across the road and even then I think there might be limits on the length of time you can park there.

There's no parking at Coatdyke so patch that.

Blairhill has the best parking as the car park is built on the site of the old St Ambrose High and is huge. The express trains don't stop here though and the trains you do get stop at every stop. Even then you're only 20-25 minutes until you're in at Queen Street, so it's not that bad.

If this is what you chose then my recommendation is park at either Sunnyside or Blairhill and get the train.

___Glasgow Central Line___

You can get the train from Whifflet, Kirkwood or Bargeddie.

Whifflet has three car parks in close proximity to the station. There is one right next to the station which gets busy with the early morning commuters so you'd need to get down early. Then there is the [precinct]() just off the carriageway round the corner from the station. There's no parking limits there and it's covered by CCTV. The last [car park](), and the biggest one, is across the dual carriageway and behind the Whifflet Arms pub and next to St Mary's chapel. There's no parking limit here either so you can park here all day.

Kirkwood has little to no parking, plus it's an absolute shitehole and the locals will steal your cars dust caps so patch that.

Bargeddie has limited parking, but if you get there early enough it could be an option.

Trains on this line take between 30-35 minutes.

___Driving___

Driving isn't a terrible option, but it can be stressful once you get to the city centre if you're not used to it. If you leave the house between 7:30am and 9am you will almost certainly hit the traffic at Junction 12/13 (Riddrie and Provan respectively) and it will be quite heavy until you get off the motorway.

There is a [GCC multi-storey car park]() right across the road from GCU (and right behind Buchanan Bus Station), but it can be quite expensive. Check to make sure that GCU and the council have a deal which makes it cheaper for students.
