My girlfriend is British chinese and has never really had any problems in Glasgow. Recently she feels more aware of being asian, e.g. trying not to cough in public, but still feels safe. I think you'll be fine, there are lots of Singaporean and Chinese students here and Glasgow is probably more accepting than most UK cities.
