It’s not so bad for me, the sound of them sanding has just brought back memories of the nightmare in my old flat where it was far more unpleasant as I was directly underneath the sanding, I just wondered how common it was and what other peoples experience had been like. Seeing as that’s two different flats in the space of 2 years.

I’ve mentioned in previous comments that it’s just something I’d never even consider due to the noise from it.

Hammering, drilling and sanding are all unavoidable when renovating and in the grand scheme aren’t that noisy. It’s more just the specific sanders on the wall and floor that’s generally quite loud.
