To be fair, it's not like we're changing them every 6 months, this is stuff 150-200 years old or more.

This isn't about pretending history didn't happen, it's acknowledging history happened. Leaving the names as they are is pretending that the bad parts of our history never happened. At the very least we need to put up some plaques acknowledging the context of what these men did. We should explain why these men who did these things are still being honoured with a street named after them. Or, change the names and put up plaques explaining what they used to be called, and why we changed them.
