I'm from York and I bought my flat around the 'North Kelvinside' area two years ago, its a quiet area, on the brink of Maryhill, so it sometimes gets the footfall of scroats. Its a short walk to the Botanics, Byers Road, Kelvingrove, whereas I think Bearsden is just too far unless you want to get the train everywhere.
