That's kind of hilarious, coz I only know who he is due to my P7 teacher (a looooong time ago) always telling us about him like he was some great hero. The only thing I actually remember is that he was hanged. (Edit - and that's apparently not even fucking true. Am I confusing him with someone else???)
Looking at his Wikipedia page I think I can guess why she loved the fella...

Edit - before looking at the wiki page if "Who was John Knox?" was a pub quiz question I'd have said "the last person to be hanged in Scotland" with confidence. Who the fuck am thinking of, and why am I sure my primary school teacher told me that? Lol |
