Aye these kinds of situations are an almost impossible job for the police. Best case scenario they come out of it looking neutral usually and it's so easy to mis-step either by being too heavy handed or by letting people get away with a bit too much. It's walking a tightrope trying to keep control without needlessly escalating the situation and while I'm sure they make plenty of mistakes as part of that process it's got to be tough as fuck not to. |
