| Comment | Listen, I've clearly articulated what I meant by being a cunt, don't act as if I've thrown out some completely subjective criterion which you've then put in parentheses to highlight just how absurdly subjective it is. You've changed your tune from absolute free speech to limits - everyone agrees there should be limits, people just disagree on where they should be. Calling for violence is "just words", and there are already myriad laws prohibiting the violence that can result from hate speech, so why prohibit the language if the consequences are already outlawed?
Views aren't illegal, there is no such thing as thought crime. Airing those views in socially disruptive and discriminatory ways, however, can be illegal. |
