I walked along kelvin way on Wednesday. Really very pleasant. I was idly wondering about the pros and cons of having it permanently closed to cars. Is it really an overflow for the museum i.e. are there tail backs on to it? I have never noticed that. If it was shut, it would put a lot of traffic through byres Road. Which is presumably contrary to the various plans to improve the pedestrian experience on byres Road. A few weeks ago, someone on here posted old maps which showed that kelvin way didn't become a road until, I think, the 1930s.
