That's just reminded me; the first proper colour newspaper in the UK was a long defunct paper called Today, published between 1986 and 19995: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Today_(UK_newspaper)
It had the first full-colour cover, when all the others were still completely black and white with only a colour masthead.
