| Comment | That is such a good idea. I regularly pick up litter in the uddingston area. Especially around the second. school. I think littering goes hand in hand with bad diets. All the rubbish I find are high sugar, high fat snacks that students buy during lunchtime. It might be worthwhile addressing this as well. M
Also disposable bottles are a big issue around schools. I work at a higher education institute in Glasgow and took it upon myself to recycle lost and found reusable waterbottles. Pre covid we got around 10 a week, all of which we would bin every Friday. I decided to clean them and keep them in the hope of giving them to sports clubs,.schools and charity shops ( clearly not now). So if that's any use to you let me know. |
