I did do some research on powerline adaptors and the high end ones that support the faster speeds aren't cheap themselves and even then a lot of the time you don't get the true speed.

But again I'm not sure how much it costs to get cat6 installed. If it's £50 per socket then I'd definitely do it. I'd maybe even stretch to £100. Again I don't know if these is wildly underestimating things or not. I imagine for someone that does this regularly it would be quite quick to do. I live in a bog standard new build with cavity walls so can't be THAT hard?
