QEH is difficult to get to. Buses are your best bet. Forget about 20 minutes travelling time.

As for schools, yes, East Ren does consistently come very high in the league tables, but these are largely meaningless. The question is, do you want your kid(s) educated or just to be part of an exam factory, where no actual education takes place? Kids that leave East Ren with great results seem to bomb it when they get to Uni, because all the work was done for them, in schools by teachers and tutors. They have not learned how to think independently. There lies the problem with these schools. It is a very short-term approach to education. Sure, they win all the prizes, but this kind of system does the kids no good at all in later life. Also, the less able kids are not catered for really. They are largely forgotten about.
Plenty of other good schools are around.
