Of course they're very very difficult to get, near impossible for someone who wouldn't already have access or be very very well connected to serious and probably international criminal enterprises (or maybe at least connected to Ireland/NI) but the idea it's just impossible is silly. We're talking about illegal trade here the fact London gang thugs can't get their hands on assault rifles doesn't mean no person in the country ever could if they wanted to. We can ship in tons of drugs, guns already exist in the country legally with military and cops but it's just impossible someone could illegally ship something in from elsewhere or get their hands on one of the legal ones by some illegal means? Don't be silly - very difficult to do does not mean cannot ever be done.
I agree that practically speaking if you see something like this it would be fairly safe to assume they're police or military but to state outright there is no other possibility is going too far - that might be a slightly pedantic point but it's not a wrong one. |
