I'd imagine they treat a mentally ill guy differently from an likely Jihadist and different from a couple of blokes having a fight.
Seems I was a mile out anyway. A stabbing suspect (something that must be pretty common for Glasgow polis) being shot dead (something that is extremely uncommon for Glasgow polis) screamed terrorism to me, plus every little detail backed it up in some way (3 dead - which turned out to be false, and the hotel housing asylum seekers - made me think it was either an attack by one of them or on some of them) but apparently not.
I'd have put money on it being terrorism of some sort. That doesn't seem likely now. |
