| Comment | Certainly with a GP you've got a reasonable chance of finding a practice who will refuse to issue prescription for required medication if you're trans. I had to switch GP as they wouldn't handle prescriptions or blood tests requested by a consultant.
I could understand if I asked them to prescribe, and they didn't have knowledge. But the consultant wrote asking them to arrange blood tests and to write prescription (other conditions I have are handled that way with no issues) and they informed me by recorded delivery mail that they could not and would never prescribe the requested medication. I had to be assigned a new GP and none in my area have space on their lists. |
