I contacted advice.scot and they were great - the factoring code of conduct requires that they have paperwork about why/how they chose the contractor and/or proof of competing quotes, and if they can’t show it then they can be found in breach of contract and potentially be made to pay compensation. Worth a try. We’ll see what they say! |
