Tbh, they are all after cash, and as much as possible. Take photographs of the flat when you move in. Every room. Every angle. Make sure they do the Scottish Government Tenancy Deposit Agreement. The tenancy deposit scheme is law, and the agent must lodge it within 30 working days. The law is on your side now. Look up all you need to know on renting in Scotland. Don't let the swines away with it.
