I think they should make them mandatory (except for under 5s and for legitimate health reasons), but for some reason there doesn't seem to be an appetite to actually enforce it.

They've definitely said, "you should" be wearing one in enclosed spaces like shops, and "must" on public transport, but think most people won't wear one until the government actually enforces it and ensures that companies shouldn't allow people in who aren't wearing them.

I know it only slightly reduces the risk of it spreading, but surely we can all wear mask for a few months. It's hardly a big ask. If it gets us all back to normal even a bit more quickly and reduces the deaths I can't see why they wouldn't.

Think there's still the classic, "I'm no wearing one, I'll look stupid, no one else is" belief going on with quite a few people.
