I think the problem is 3 fold.

Police haven't done anything to stop drug addicts and homeless from running riot in the city centre over the last few months. There are a small group that are causing absolute chaos, harassing people and wrecking public areas.

At the same time, the council hasn't done enough to keep bins empty. I'd give them a bit of leeway given everything that's happening, no doubt they have been struggling. At the same time, no break in council tax for residents despite heavily stripped back services is a bit grim.

Finally and most importantly, so many people in this city have no pride, responsibility or accountability for the state of the place. Glasgow is my home and I love it, but I wish we could address that this is one of the filthiest cities in Europe. The amount of times I've seen folk just chuck their shite on the street is embarrassing. Won't change without a big cultural attitude shift.
