| Comment | Just because there are bad dog owners should not mean you tell everyone to keep their dog on a lead at all times. My dog gets ten times as much exercise and walking in the park is a much more enjoyable experience for both of us if he isn't tethered a few feet away from me at all times.
When I see dogs on the lead it more often than not signals to me that the dog is poorly trained, not that the owner is responsible. A well trained dog doesn't need to be on a lead, there are plenty of morons who own on-the-lead dogs also, and the dogs behave as such.
Feel free to keep your dog on a lead, safe in the knowledge that you are superior and more responsible than me, I'll let my dog do what a dog wants to do - responsibly. |
