| Comment | Please be very careful as well as due to the demand (throughout covid) the puppy and kitten farm ‘industry’ (scumbags!) are making a fortune and attempting to look like genuine sellers now more than ever. There’s been numerous news articles about this recently and it’s heartbreaking the way the animals are treated. Obviously it’s difficult still to request to meet the parents of the puppy or kitten but if you do find one at a reasonable price please be cautious and if possible request to see the baby with it’s mother. They do try and fool you by showing pictures (usually these aren’t the actual animals) so if you can’t go to the property request they do a wee video for you.
For adoption - the rescue centres are usually cautious about kitten and puppy enquiries and want to make extra sure your suitable (to avoid having them returned), they often only give them to people who physically visit the centre and have already enquired about an older animal. I know that seems unfair but its done with the best intention for the welfare of the animal.
Just on a wee side note the sspca and cats protection league both have indoor cats available at the moment but they are a bit older.
