| Comment | Well what's weird is that when I hold down Alt on start-up, I still see all my available boot options and recovery options. In this screen, I've managed to run terminal and use it to copy the entire contents of my boot SSD onto an external drive and boot into it on my MacBook, but I can't seem to install any of the Nvidia web drivers I'm told I will need for the 980ti to work. It says they're incompatible with the version of MacOS I'm using, but I'm using the exact ones I reportedly need and they're supposed to be compatible with the version of MacOS I'm using.. it has been difficult and I've tried just about everything I can think of - even bought an RX580 8GB because I was under the impression that those worked natively with MacOS but that also didn't work. Now, I've finally cracked and bought an ATI Radeon 5770 from eBay for £50 that originally came from a Mac Pro 5.1 so I'm crossing my fingers that I can push an image out of the machine with that.. total rigamarole! |
