They will do anything to look after there staff. Selling the buisness means someone new coming in who they have no guarentee will give a fuck about subbie or the staff. The next owners might treat it like a cash cow and run it into the ground. As a staff member i feel far more safe and secure with the current owners at the helm. Not many other businesses would have taken their trouble with bar workers and the furlough scheme to UK parliament.
The crowdfunder doesnt boost subbies margins, it allows them to keep paying their stewards, managment, pr's, artists, graphic designers, bar workers and accountant team all the way up till we can open again which may be well into next year as socially distanced parties are not an option in a basement. Im sure your capable of understanding paying 30+ salaries for 6+ months with 0 income can be...how you say...fucking expensive 😂 |
