Well [BS3621 Locks](https://www.locksmiths.co.uk/faq/what-are-bs3621-british-standard-locks/) only need to have 1000 different keys, so there is probably *already* someone else who has the same key in Glasgow.
If it wasn't well packaged, it probably tore it's own way out of the envelope.
But you can get a new lock for not much money from Screwfix.com and if you get the exact same size, it's a five minute job to change it, and it's never comfortable thinking someone might have your key. |
