I got rid of our (mostly moss) lawn last year. It's now mostly veg, with a patch of clover for the bees. Definitely recommend scrapping grass and growing more interesting stuff.
Clover is easier than grass to maintain and if you like to move things about periodically the clover adds nitrogen to the soil.
