Making an income out of renting property is morally wrong in my opinion. Housing is a basic need, yet landlords think it perfectly fine to charge enormous rents so they can live easy. It's not a real job like the rest of us do. It's lazy, elitist and downright greedy. Thatcher sold of the housing stock. It was supposed to be a housing revolution. It wasn't. The houses just ended up in the hands of the banks and greedy people. The rich got richer, as usual. Huge con.
All the landlords I had were greedy, did not care for the property, and were just in it for the money. Shallow as hell. It also causes young people not being able to get on the housing ladder, as properties are being used as cash cows instead of what they are, houses.
