I wouldn't trust a vascular surgeon to advise me on a spinal condition and no vascular surgeon in their right mind would give out blanket medical advice because in an actual healthcare setting that could be the grounds for getting chinned by the GMC. So why would I trust a nutritionist for advice about infectious disease or public health, when we have entire departments with dedicated specialists for that? Here's an experiment for you - Phone your GP Practice and ask if they have any patients who are clinically advised not to wear face coverings because of health conditions.
