Pretty decent compliance so far that I've seen. Haven't seen an unmasked face on a bus in weeks. A few in Tesco, etc.

I think though that if they really want this to be successful the government or retailers need to take responsibility for handing out masks. It's all well and good to say that you need to wear them, but making them even £1.50 just adds to that reluctance a lot of people who don't have a lot of money have to wearing one. Where I work (avoiding identifying, but I'll give you a clue, it's big and there's lots of sick people inside) we are handing them out for free on the door because we want to ensure as many people as possible are wearing them. If someone can't wear one for health reasons then we're trying to make sure they're in and out before anybody else comes in.
