Sub was on borrowed time when GCC granted permission to Wetherspoon to build their hotel there. They managed to close the Arches when a hotel got put around that side, don't think the Sub Club will be staying. Covid was the nail in the coffin, but I wonder if the impending closure had anything to do with somehow not being eligible(?!) for the furlough scheme.
Mike Grieve has already said (on the BBC) that they can't reopen until there's actually a vaccine, and that definitely won't be any time soon.
But yeah, fuck it, let's leave it at that. No point typing it all out, can just wait and see what happens. |
