You'll enjoy living in Glasgow much, much more than Paisley. Glasgow is fairly small so don't restrict yourself to a specific area. If you are going to cycle you have a lot of options. I'd recommend you look for flat shares with other students, it'll encourage you to be more sociable and meet other people.
