I started from home in the middle of April and it does have it's benefits but Its taken me a while to adjust and get into a routine that allows me to be productive. The suggestion seems to be that we'll be allowed back into the office at the start of next year and it will be one week in the office followed by one week working from home which would seem to be the best of both worlds.
I genuinely miss the commute as well. The five minute walk to the bus stop woke me up and the bus journey was only 20-25 mins. Bus was normally pretty quiet and I'd listen to podcasts every morning which I've let slip completely since lockdown. |
