I have been doing it for twelve years. I work in a project based collaborative team. Our team was 90+% home based before COVID and now we are 100% home based. I don't recognise the disadvantage at all. Of all the teams in my organisation, we are the most productive and the most innovative. I have one lady who has worked for me for the past six years whom I have never met face to face. She was office based until COVID and then I had her work from home actually a couple of weeks before my organisation mandated it. There has been a small improvement in her performance. She is much more accessible as she is not skipping off for 50 fag breaks a day. You have to consciously make the time in the work week to socialise remotely. Like physically set aside time, and talk about normal stuff life stuff. It's not for everybody, but humans are adaptable beasts. You would be surprised how it can become a normal and complete way of working.
