I definitely feel like working from home makes my work fit around my life, instead of the other way about. No longer do I feel the slog.

It can be distracting sometimes, sure, but overall I feel like my life is a lot less hectic and I have time to pursue things at my own pace I otherwise wouldn't. Definitely been a positive thing for me overall.

A normal day for me before this would be: get into the office for 9.30-10am, leave 5ish, come back knackered, make dinner, then back out again to one of the groups/activities I go to during the week, get back and go to bed. I'd then spend the measly 2 days off waking up at 12pm to catch up on the sleep I've missed and getting ready to start all over again.

Now, I'm already working by 10, I'm not rushing about, I'm having meetings over Skype/Zoom where necessary and keeping in touch on stuff like Slack/Discord/emails. I don't feel as knackered after a day of working and it's nice to be able to go for a walk at a nearby park and watch TV/play some games/read a book on my lunch break. I'd happily WFH forever, and I'd get a dug like I've wanted to for years but never could because I'm out all day.

I keep in touch with my friends & family regularly and if anything feel as though I chat more with them and make more time for the things and people that matter to me.

I'm lucky enough to be in a position where I don't need to be on premises to do work. If folk want to go back, let them, but don't force me to. I'll happily come in for meetings, catch-ups, and stuff that requires immediate input like that, but apart from that I'd like to keep living this life at my own pace, thanks.
