It’s a great wee bit (I’ve lived on Garrioch road between botanics and big Tesco for 17 years). As with any big city there’s a mixture of folk but overall everyone is pretty decent - your really close to transport links (buses are frequent maryhill road) and 15mins walk to subway. Queen Margaret Drive and Byres road both have a great selection of cafes and the latter loads of pubs. The botanic gardens are lovely and it’s handy to walk in from kelvin walkway.
