As for conditions in the care sector, the ones who suffer the most in all this aren't actually the workers, but the supported people. Staff turnover is unreal, and while you can't blame anyone for leaving, those we work for have to deal with an endless flux of well-meaning strangers waltzing in and out of their private lives month after month, all because providers have no incentive to turn frontline care work into a viable long-term career. |
