It's OK. Never had bother in 10 years but a mate of mine did get jumped once riding home on his bike. Sometimes get junkies in your close if your neighbours have a weird aversion to shutting doors too.
There is a coffee shop (Serene I think) and a sandwich shop (Bite Me) across the road from Cessnock underground - both are fab. Wan 2 Wan Chinese is pretty decent.
If you ever here a bloody annoying intermittent humming noise from the direction of the old school at North Gower Street it's the Air Con system in the disused part. Took me forever to find out and get the council to witness it and get it sorted. |
