With some of the lowest car ownership figures in the country, Glasgow is a slave to the car. Public transport is a joke.
The underground should have been expanded years ago. Other cities/countries have done done this, yet Glasgow just built yet more roads. And as for shutting on a Sunday early - biggest joke going.
ScotRail are useless. Decrepit trains, stupidly high fares and staff that don't give a toss. As for First Bus? Total joke of a company.
It takes me an hour in the morning to travel 10 miles using public transport. That is pathetic. Nothing like an oyster card either.
Privatisation and a blind love of the car has destroyed our transport infrastructure. Roads are packed so they build more roads, which get packed, so they build more roads, and so on.
No rail/tram link to the airport is awful. Frequent buses sure but they cost a fortune.
It's embarrassing to have foreign friends visit and they see the state of our transport. European cities have wonderful, clean transport systems. Why can't we?
