| Comment | I watched a YT video the other day of a young American couple who visited Glasgow and used the bus to get to one end of the city, they couldn't believe how awful it was. With regards to the payment system, I quote: "You put the money into a box and it falls through immediately, the driver didn't even know how much was in there, there's no way he had time to count if we put the right amount in and it has no weight system. And they don't give change even if you only have a £20 note. Then there is nothing to indicate what the next stop is, there's an electronic sign which looks like it once worked but hasn't for many years."
And I'd tend to agree with that, if you live here and have used the public transport your whole life you know how it all works, the same with Edinburgh. But for tourists and visitors they have no chance. It's a shambles. |
