Petrol dropped sharply in price back at the start of lockdown, and has been slowly recovering since. It was nearer £1.35 at the beginning of the year.

In general, fuel is a bit cheaper than 10yrs ago, because shale fields in the USA and Canada competed with Middle East sources.
