Spoons was pretty much as it used to be. Didn't even need to do a track-trace form. They ask but never check.
Went to some independent bars.
One scanned temperatures and made us fill in track-trace slips on entry, had table 'service' (took ages for them to come round). Could go to the bar though! Had music on but very quietly.
And another didn't force us to do a track trace (asked us to scan a QR code but didn't check it) and had their own Spoons style app (Round) which was pretty good. Accepted Apple Pay, tells you when your order is being prepped and took like 2 minutes from ordering to the table for drinks, was pretty impressed!
Prices haven't gone up or very marginally (like 10/20p) which is nice.
To be honest, not really worth going out at the minute. Too much of a faff just for some drinks with little of the social aspect. |
