| Comment | The stair is not part of your property but is an unsecured shared area so unless your property includes insurance for storing the bike outside of your property then it won’t be included. It’s very common for people to go about with vans and steal bikes from stairs as it is so easy.
Also, leaving bikes in the stair is usually against a tenancy agreement (usually not explicitly - not sure about mortgages) as it creates a fire evacuation hazard for those in the stair so it’s best to find another place to store it anyway. |
