Comment | You asked me a question which i politely answered. Answering my question with questions doesn’t really help here. Having said that, I’ll still politely answer yours: 1) I don’t know what they were doing, except that they did it aggressively when it could have been done with a bit more tact. Obviously moving towards me is necessary if they thought I may have posed a risk/may have run, but screaming at someone to stay where they are is just...rude. 2) I didn’t say he was confused, I said he was surprised. And in that part of London? Yeh lol Look I can see the angle you’re going for here but I’m not saying these particular police were institutionally racist or that they were out to rough up a black guy, I’m saying that this one was a prick. And in community policing it’s policing by consent, so if you’re rude to the community they simply aren’t going to help you when you do need intel in the future. I only asked him for a receipt because he was a knob and I knew he couldn’t say no. If it had been “Excuse me, just stay there please, just need a quick chat”, and then “we’re looking for a black man of about your height, wearing a hoodie, he attacked someone about an hour ago”, then I’d have been more than happy to help. But he didn’t act like that and didn’t ask me about the black man wearing a hoodie covered in blood who had just run past me, so I didn’t tell him.... |
