I just got back from visiting a friend in Spean Bridge. The Highlands train line (Glasgow to Mallaig) is BEAUTIFUL. Like, you could get off at any stop from Helensburgh north and have a blast. Bonus points if you get off the train at Corrour, the most remote station in the UK (was in Trainspotting, no road access, only 1 remote cafe/youth hostel there, lots of midges). Have fun, hope you find some adventures
