Yeah but there is also a personal responsibility to secure your stuff.
you shouldn't NEED to worry about being robbed. However people steal and if you walk down stabby lane in golden shoes it's a bit irresponsible to not to expect being robbed.
Also its bit of a reach to compare bike theft to rape......
